      If you were to hypothetically enjoy this game, then there are random levels, downloadable content, three charcters, and a multi-player mode.

      This game can be best described as soporific. There is too much repetition and not enough excitement. The redundancy not only comes from the menial fetching and delivering tasks, but also from the repeated FMVs that are used as load screens, and constant repeated chatter of the characters.
      The worst part of ToeJam and Earl is that the whole game just feels wide and shallow, not long and deep. There is little feeling of real progression, let alone climax, and the overall repetitive nature of the game becomes tedious and tiresome.

      Fans of the original games may enjoy the feeling of nostalgia when playing Mission to Earth, but that feeling is sure to fade as you become desensitized to the classic appeal of the game, and realize your current state.

      Gamespot hat übrigens nur ne 5.0 gegeben..

      Also IGN und GAMESPOT bewerten schon seit einiger Zeit nur noch bescheiden ... Mir ist egal was die geben. Langsam denke ich das dort alle xbox Games nur Durchschnittswertungen bekommen ...

    • Werungen von Mags oder Seiten wie IGN etc. nehme ich einfach nicht mehr ernst, seien sie positiv oder negativ. Ich warte immer, bis ihn sich gewisse Leute, auf deren Urteil ich vertrauen kann, die entsprechenden Spiele zulegen. Wenn deren Urteil positiv ausfällt, weiß ich, dass ich zulangen kann.

    • Aber ist dennoch ein wenig entäuschend, denn die Bilder sahen extrem vielversprechend aus. Aber wie schon andere geschrieben habe, kaufen werde ich es mir auf alle Fälle. Jedoch hätte ich sehr gerne ein gutes Rating gesehen für Toe Jam and Earl III!

      Was mich auch noch ein bisschen skeptisch macht, ist dass es die Kerbe von Teil 1 einschlägt! Teil 2 war einfach phänomenal und ich "liebe" es bis zum heutigen Tag!

      Aber dennoch bin ich auf die ersten Reviews gespannt von Zockern mit gutem Geschmack!

    • ich kann mich bisher wirklich nicht über die Bewertungen beschweren.. scheinen genau meinen Geschmack zu haben, und deshalb werd ich nen grossen Bogen um TJaE machen..

    • Ich verstehe euch nicht villeicht suckt das Game einfach !
      genau wie Blinx, keiner von uns hats mal gezockt aber alle kritsieren die Wertungen von IGN und Gamespot....im uebrigen bin ich mit den IGN Wertungen eigentlich immer gut gefahren und konnte Fehlkaeufe verhindern....

      Wertungen sind ja nicht entscheidend bevor ich diese 50-60 Euro fuer ein Spiel ausgebe teste ich es auf jeden Fall an, also werde ich auch Blinx und Toe Jam and Earl ne CHance geben (obwohl Blinx wegen dem Zeitlimit schon fast draussen ist)

      Uebrigens vermute ich dass Toe Jam and Earl III noch ne verkappte Dreamcast Entwicklung ist, das GAme war damals fuer DC in Entwicklung wurde dann aber gecancelt..........
      egal hab die Mega Drive VArianten und die sind einfach fett !

      es gibt zwei Gründe warum sie sich irren müssen..

      1. Das Game ist von Sega
      2. Das Game ist für die XBox

      ich werde es auf jeden fall einmal probe spielen, denn bis jetzt scheint es für mich so als ob ign mit ihrer wertung recht haben

      Warum? Sieht doch wirklich cool aus. Aber das gameplay muss natürlich auch stimmen. Schade das es sich an Teil 1 orientiert. :(

      I designed ToeJam and Earl III as well as the first two ToeJam and Earl games. I'm very disappointed in Jeff's review and I encourage everyone to make up their own minds.

      Here is a quote from last lines of the review in the November Issue of Play magazine, by Dave Halverson, the guy that runs the Magazine.

      "At the end of the day Mission to Earth is many things...a great video game filled with some of the most impressive visuals you'll ever see, dripping with style and oozing with Funk Essence; a fan's wish come true; and perhaps most profoundly, proof that video game designers can still think outside the box, exhibiting vision and individuality beyond the confines of the generic planning so popular in today's board rooms. I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with it". And they give us a 4.5 out of five. You might even check out the preview by Ricardo Torres on this site, that was much better balanced, and as far as I'm concerned much more professional and better written.

      Whenever you do something new people will be split. If you go into territory that is satirical and light hearted you face greater general criticism than if you do something that is dark and serious. If you incorporate funk and urban culture in your game you invite the criticism of every arm chair expert who wants to prove how much of an expert they are on what's "cool".

      My advise to you and all gamers is don't put too much stock in what other people think, especially when it comes to something as subjective as this. You will know if it feels good to you and makes you laugh or enjoy some quality play time with a friend. You be the judge.
